Day 3. Driving to the next section.
We drove to the dela Mare valley (the parking is not free) and climber up to the lakes.

We got up early that day and headed back to the cars. It was easy to walk down a good path.
We walked by a trench from the First World War. We drove to the neighbouring valley on a very narrow road with very sharp turns, which passed through Passo di Gavia. None of the drivers enjoyed the drive, and the passengers were a bit scared.
We parked in a large car park and went up. The cows in these mountains are surprisingly friendly...
... and really cute.
We quickly got above the tree line.
The rain did not scare us.
We sat down for lunch right on the path. We set up our big tent to hide from the rain. Several groups of walkers passed by.
The rain soon stopped. We are going up to Lago Lungo.
The girls are enjoying the rest break.
There was no wind at all, and the lake was like a green mirror.

Our goal for the day was another lake, about two hundred metres above this one.

Our destination is getting closer and closer. We climbed more than a kilometre from the car park.
We camped near the lake on a green patch between the rocks.

All ten of us squeezed into one tent and we spend the evening singing and chatting.
We even had a visitor.
