Austria 28 March - 2 April 2024
For the Easter holidays we travelled to Lova's place in Germany. We spent a day walking around Nuremberg, and then went ski touring in the Austrian Alps.

Day one
We rented a flat near Innsbruck and were planning to ski in the surrounding mountains. Unfortunately, it was very windy the whole week, so we couldn't climb high. At around 2000-2500 metres it wasn't blowing as hard, but the snow wasn't as good either. We still had a great trip! At 8 am we were standing at the entrance to the ski shop. After getting all the necessary equipment, we drove to the Axamer Lizum ski resort.

First, we went up along the ski slope. We saw many fellow ski tourers. Due to the strong wind, the lifts were closed, so the slopes were deserted.
We left the piste and started to break our own trail, remembering what we had learnt a year ago in Narvik.

This is a popular tour. The piste behind us was completely empty - the lifts were closed due to high winds.
