We usually go to the Lakes on Friday night. We have a few favourite camping spots that are only about an hour's walk from the car park. At night we quickly pitch our tent and go to bed, and in the morning we are already in the mountains.

This tarn is near Small Water. It's a bit off the main path, so we are usually the only people camping here. Not this time! However, it was dark in the evening and we didn't notice another tent nearby.

You can find a small tarn on every flat spot in the Lakes.

We are going down to the Kentmere lake. We remembered skiing in these mountains in the beginning of March.

Mountain bikers often walk rather than cycle, and sometimes even carry their bikes on their backs.
