A trip to Germany 6-9 October 2023
Lova has long been asking us to visit him in Erlangen, and at last we went to see him for a long weekend. The trip was quite busy: we walked around Nuremberg, Erlangen, Bamberg, visited Fürth, and spent a day in the Fränkische Schweiz - Frankenjura park.
Nuremberg
We got to Nuremberg in the afternoon and went for a walk around the city. It was warm like in the summer, even though it was already October.

We went for a walk in the hills near Erlangen. Every house here is different from the neighbours. Everything is very well maintained and neat, made with much love.

Erlangen
We are in front of Lova's house.
We spotted a stork nest on the chimney on the house on the right. And this is right in the centre of Erlangen.

Bamberg
On the last day we visited Bamberg. The drizzly weather didn't bother us.

We took a ferry ride to the other side of the river.

The houses here are very old and unusual.
Each building is a different personality.

The doors are decorated with strange creatures, all with rings in their mouths.
The Old Town Hall is built on an island in the middle of the river.
Its wall is covered with frescoes. If you look closely, you will notice that some of the figures "stick out" of the wall.

We had a very busy trip: we visited Lova, met with Ira and also walked around the neighbouring towns.
