Day 7 - Vienne
As always, the weather was at its best just as we were leaving.
We were travelling to Vienne, which is about 40km south of Lyon.
A small section of Roman road; they had pavements 2000 years ago.
The Roman Temple of Augustus and Livia (1st Century B.C.).
We went to an outdoor Roman museum; the kids visited the communal toilets.
One of the wealthier Roman villa's. The only remnants are the foundations and fragments of pillars, still spectacular!
The Roman way of reducing humidity; placing clay vessels upside-down in the ground, so water condenses inside of them.
