Annecy
On the way to Annecy, we drove past Lovagny, where we decided to have a look at "Les Gorges du Fier". Although we spent the whole previous day looking at gorges, we didn't regret visiting this one. When it rains in the mountains, the water level can rapidly rise by up to 20m; very hard to believe.

If you look closely, you can more or less make out the shapes of two faces on opposite sides, as if they're chatting to one another.
At the narrowest point, you can touch the opposite side.
About 200m downstream, the gorge ends and the rivers widens; the current slows down and magical trees appear on both banks.
The town of Annecy lies at the edge of Lake Annecy.
Instead of streets, they have streams with clear, blue, fast-flowing water.
Sort of reminds you of Venice
We went to the lakeside to have a look at the view, had some food and set off towards the mountains.
