Flora
Caucasian flora is quite different from the Alps. Most of the plants attracted our attention because they were flowering. Our friend reccommended the Plantarium site for finding the names of the plants. We also used Pl@ntNet.

We found lots of unusual plants near Mukal glacier during our afternoon walk. There were no trees or tall palnts at 3000 m above the sea level, just a green carpet of moss and saxifrages under our feet.

Probably lifelong saxifrage (Saxifraga paniculata subsp. cartilaginea).

The banks of the lake Sultran-kel' were boggy with lots of small streams. Flora here was very different from the rocks.
