A mountain trip in Adamello Alps (Italy), 25-31 August 2018
Alpine flora.
This trip was mostly at high altitude so we only took a few pictures of plants.
Rhodiola rosea. We saw most of these plants near Passo Altar, but they didn't look healthy. Maybe this altitude is too high for them?
Arnica montana. This plant is used to make arnica ointment which is used to treat bruises.
This is probably a wilted arnica plant, with seeds.
Alpine mouse-ear or alpine chickweed (Cerastium alpinum).
Saxifraga bryoides. These flowers seem to attract midges.
Gentiana campestris.
Geum montanum. We often see these plants in the mountains but can't help taking more pictures of them.
