The trail up on Malmargensnuten. Behind us are the amazing fjords of Norway.
The village by the seaside is Rosendal. A few days later, we will catch a boat from Rosendal to Bergen.
The bad weather is approaching... It's already wet but the views are still great.
At the top of Malmargensnuten.
We still have a couple of hours of walking along the ridge and then descend to the lake where we were planning to camp. But the rain suddenly became much stronger, and the wind picked up. Our boots got very wet. We only managed to dry them back at home.
Sometimes the rain would stop and we enjoyed amazing views.
We managed to get to the lake and saw a hut. We started dreaming of a dry room and a stove. But the hut was locked; we spent some time looking for a key but to no avail. We hooked our tent to the hut wall. A little late the rain stopped.
We camped by the hut, as this was the only dry and flat spot in the vicinity. We made a small fire and the evening was great.
Day seven. A day of rest by the Prestavatnet lake.

The weather did not improve. It was drizzling and the fog was rising from the valley below. We are leaving the hut.
Lova is hovering above the water (almost).
Just below the dam, there was a suspension bridge which we used to cross the river.
After several wet days, the path by the lakeside was completely covered by water.
We found a dry spot and stopped to rest. The red hut on the other side of the lake is our yesterday's camping spot. This is all the distance we covered in a day.

A large cloudberry field. The long-fogrotten taste of bygone days... We have not tested the cloudberries for many years. We quickly consumed all ripe berries and decided to camp here, as the fog was quickly surrounding us. The fog did not disperse until late in the evening.
It was very quiet, not a sole around us.
The fog finally got us.

We could not stay at the campsite all day and went up on the Volarusta.
Nearer the top we saw three motionless figures... the sheep.
The sun came out in the evening. We made a fire and enjoyed the sunset.
Sonya is reading!
Sunset.
