Cross Fell - 17 February 2013
Cross Fell is the highest point of the Pennine mountains (893 m). It takes one and a half hours to get to the slopes from the nearest car park. We were searching for some snow to ski on, but found very little.
Our track is shown with a red line. The "P" icon shows the car park.
Still enough snow to ski a bit.
The very top (top left corner of the picture) didn't look much better, so we decided not to climb there.
Lova and Sonya enjoyed sledging. |
Sonya managed to ride all the way to the last snow field. |
Going down.
Returning into spring.
